Today I finally submitted what will hopefully be the next substantial release of The Natural Desktop for testing.

It's been a lot of fun so far and I expect there will be more to come so I created a small article on JoeUser briefly describing the process for those that are interested

I have checked the download link and it is there. Can you ping storage.stardock.com? Should return 66.54.81.22. If it doesn't, your DNS or the DNS servers for your ISP aren't so happy.

You can also install Natural Desktop through Stardock Central. Tools / Register Products / Misc section, use the dropdown to select Natural Desktop and enter your serial there.

Natural Desktop is great!

But it needs 24 hour time as an option. I don't like AM/PM (as most Europeans do).

It would be nice to see some videos of this before I pay for it.

can't wait for the update!!

Have internally implemented 12/24 hour toggling. Not sure whether it will make it into the next update as we're already testing that but it's done anyhow.

Posted this in another thread but may be better read here..

A while ago it was mentioned that you will be able to add your own walls. Hopefully we can catergorize them into the Spring, Summer etc, Morning, Evening way the set currently uses.

Also, I replaced the 1152x864 with the full 1600x1200 versions of the walls, and the quality increase is incredible.

You will be able to specify each of the 4 wallpapers for each of the 4 seasons.

Each wallpaper will also be provided in 1600x1200, 1280x1024 & 1024x768 and the most appropriate will be applied based on your resolution.

You will also be able to specify a directory to randomly draw walls from for each of these wallpapers.

Excellent I'm enjoying using ND in work at the moment, does help sooth away some stress.

One thing I have noticed, I can't believe how much CPU this uses when there is Light Drizzle (which to be fair is Manchester 99% of the time). 50% on a 2.4HT P4 (my work PC again). At least the animation of Light Drizzle with its rainbow is far nicer than the real thing

Any chance this can be lowered? I'm not always using full screen apps to hide the desktop, but at least DX does have the ability to go to 0% when you have a maximised window which I'm grateful of.

Would edit but don't have permission. Was being an idiot. Just type Medium for the time being.

So far so good but I am having problems with ND starting at startup.
Other Comments
a)Can we have a choice of date style instead of being forced to use the American style?
b)Would it be possible to input the location code as "UKXX1773" and not be forced into the nearest city "Bath, United Kingdom"?
c)Can it save the location instead of having to input it each time? or is this to do with my startup problem?
However I do like ND even if my comments seem to point otherwise. I assume that later on you will make more use of the corner spaces?

Some users have issues with DX saving data in the registry. I know I do for example. I can't use Core Weather because of this and its really annoying, it works fine in work as does ND.

Right clicking and selecting Autorun adds a shortcut to My Computer in the startup folder for no reason > instead of creating a proper .exe link to ND. You have to manually create the shortcut yourself if you want it to work.
